Any reproduction, representation, adaptation or distribution, in whole or in part, of the software or the site, by any means whatsoever, without the publisher’s written permission, is prohibited and constitutes infringement (contrefaçon) punishable under Article L335-2 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code (Code de la propriété intellectuelle). The same applies to the extraction, decompilation or reuse of the app’s code, outside the exceptions provided for by Article L122-6-1 of the same code.

The open-source components the app includes (notably Tauri, pdf.js and Tesseract) remain the property of their authors and are used under their respective licenses.

The documents you import into the app remain the property of their authors, and yours remain yours. Mnemesia does not publish them, does not share them and makes no copy of them: they stay on your devices, and in your own iCloud if you turn on syncing.

Mnemesia is a study tool provided free of charge, as is. It has no medical purpose and provides no course content: whatever is in it is put there by the person using it.

Since your data lives on your device, backing it up is your responsibility. Regularly copying your Mnemesia folder is the only protection against a disk failure.
